It was great shooting at Centre For Arts & Technology (CATO) with Jad Warde from JadWardePhotography today. Jad is a Kelowna BC, based fashion photographer. Like Jad, I too have a love for fashion photography. Unlike Jad though, I enjoy bright eye catching colours while he is content with muted pastel tones . Today’s subject was a new face from Shine Modeling Agency , the beautiful Katie Gray, a nineteen years-of-age up-coming model who is full of potential.
Katie said she always wanted to be a model, and now, she is finally getting her chance. She is full of excitement and fantastic ideas. It’s refreshing finding someone so young, who knows what she wants to do for the rest of her life. I can easily see her on the cover of her favourite magazines such as Elle and Harper’s Bazzaar, magazines she brought to the photoshoot shoot to try to emulate some of the stunning cover models.
It’s always pleasure watching and learning from others, especially Jad. My take home lesson today is to:
Plan you shoot properly
Make sure everyone has a copy or access to the mood board and brief
Plan posses ahead of time
Stick to the game plan
Practice lighting before your shoot
Don’t rush your self. Take it slow
Rules that I think will stick with me for a long time.
